Mushrooms are my favorite drug and weed is my second favorite. Because these drugs come straight from the
earth,
no processing required, I feel enabled to believe in their practical purposes. While mushrooms have indisputable benefit to the individual, facilitating transcendent experiences, weed is a double-edged sword.
The general cultural attitude towards weed is too relaxed. There is not nearly enough stigma around being stoned all the time. Like anything else, weed should be smoked in moderation. It really does make you hazy—not only when you smoke but for up to 24 hours afterwards. This can be nice after a long shift on your feet or when laying in the park, but it is not so nice when you’re trying to think straight, or get up early and start your day.
Recently, I’ve cut weed out of my diet entirely because I am striving for
clarity.
I’ve been having crazy dreams again and I can feel the true movement of
time
from day to day.
Weed is a vibrational magnifying glass. Thus, how and where you smoke entirely determine what your experience will be. My most euphoric experiences smoking have been alone with a little joint, sitting
outside
somewhere beautiful. My most silly have been on the couch with my
roommates,
chatting with snacks and some background noise on TV. My most unpleasant have been the times I chose to smoke even though I really shouldn’t have, like at a boy’s place out of his crusty bong.
Be conscious of what you’re bringing to the table. Be mindful and intentional. Let a special treat be a special treat. And don’t smoke too much!!! It’s never fun.
